Nordgold’s Jan–Jun gold output rises 15% to 486,200 ounces
MOSCOW, Aug 28 (PRIME) -- The gold output of Nordgold, controlled by Russian businessman Alexei Mordashov, increased by 15% on the year to 486,200 ounces in January–June, the company said in a statement on Monday.
Combined production grew due to a 28% increase of production at the Berezitovy mine, to a 21% increase of output at the Taparko mine, to a 13% rise in production at the Bissa mine, and a 7% increase of the Suzdal mine output. New mine Bouly produced 65,100 ounces of gold in the period, the company said.
In April–June, the refined gold output of the company rose 3% on the quarter to 246,800 ounces of gold equivalent due to an increased amount of ore refining and of the extraction ratio.
